Orange muffin

Ingredients for Making Orange Cupcake

  1. Orange 1 piece
  2. Butter or margarine 150 grams
  3. Sugar 1 cup
  4. Eggs 3 pieces
  5. Baking powder for dough 2 teaspoons
  6. Vanilla Sugar 2 teaspoons
  7. Wheat flour 200-250 grams

Inventory:

Bakeware, baking parchment, mixer, grater, kitchen knife, citrus juice squeezer.

Cooking an Orange Cupcake:

Step 1: prepare the orange.


Using a grater or knife, peel the zest of the orange. Ideally, you only need the orange part, but many housewives prefer not grated zest, but diced. In my opinion, this is a matter of taste.
Squeeze the juice from the peeled orange.

Step 2: knead the dough.


First of all, mix the butter (or margarine) at room temperature with sugar. Then add the eggs, breaking one by one, and beat everything well with a whisk. Pour orange juice next in turn, whisk again, and then add the zest and mix everything thoroughly.
Mix flour with baking powder and then gradually add flour to the dough, mixing everything well.
It will turn out a homogeneous dough, in density resembling sour cream.

Step 3: bake an orange muffin.


Insert baking parchment on the bottom of the mold, grease it with oil and pour out the dough. Flatten and send in preheated 180 degrees oven on 20-25 minutes. But, be guided by your oven and form, if it is deep and large, it is better to leave the cake to bake longer.

To determine readiness for sure, pierce the cupcake with a toothpick. If at the exit it is dry and without pieces of dough, then everything is ready.
Ready orange cake should be cooled to room temperature, and then served with tea.

Step 4: serve the orange muffin.


Cut the orange muffin into thin slices and serve with tea, milk, cocoa, and anything you like. Very tasty, sweet and fragrant. You can additionally decorate with powdered sugar.
