Step 1: prepare the strawberries.
Rinse the strawberries, after washing, remove the tails and cut the berries into halves. If the strawberries are not very large, pickle them whole.
Step 2: prepare the marinade.
Add sugar and sea salt to the saucepan.
Add water and simmer, stirring slowly. No need to bring to a boil, just dissolve the salt and sugar. It should take 8-10 minutes.
Step 3: pickle strawberries.
Meanwhile, put the strawberries in a jar, filling it to the top.
Once the marinade is cooked, pour it into a jar of strawberries. Allow to cool without closing.
As soon as the marinade cools down, you will notice that the strawberries have decreased in volume, this will give you the opportunity to report some more berries on top to fill the jar again.
Close the lid and put the pickled strawberries in the refrigerator. You can eat it already through 24 hours. After cooking, it is stored for a month.
Step 4: serve the pickled strawberries.
Add pickled strawberries to salads, cook various snacks with it, from ordinary sandwiches to gourmet canapes, and you can also use berries to make sauce for fish, meat or poultry.
